We are delighted to announce that Dr. Gerard Celia, MBA, Ph.D., HCLD, CC, has joined our team as the new Executive Lab Director at Pacific Fertility Center Los Angeles (PFCLA). Dr. Celia is a highly qualified and experienced laboratory director who is passionate about reproductive health and dedicated to helping patients achieve their dreams of parenthood. Dr. Celia holds the following certifications from the American Association of Bioanalysts: High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD), Clinical Consultant (CC), and Technical Supervisor (TS). His work combines patient care, laboratory management, and academic research, and he is passionate about advancing reproductive health science. Dr. Celia obtained his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He then earned his PhD in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics from the College of Medicine, University of Vermont. His graduate research focused on implantation and maternal adaptation to pregnancy. He continued his training as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Ob/Gyn at the same institution. In 2023, Dr. Celia expanded his skills by obtaining an MBA from the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary.
Dr. Celia has over two decades of expertise in molecular physiology and reproductive science. His work has been recognized by prestigious institutions, such as the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, the New England Perinatal Society, the University of Vermont, and the American Physiological Society. He has also served as the President of the College of Reproductive Biology, the President of the Society of Reproductive Biologists and Technologists, and on the board of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Celia is passionate about reproductive health and is dedicated to helping patients achieve their dreams of parenthood. He is a skilled teacher and mentor, and he is committed to training the next generation of health professionals.
He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our state-of-the-art embryology and andrology laboratories at PFCLA. He will work closely with our team of embryologists and andrologists to ensure that we provide the highest quality care to our patients. Dr. Celia will also be responsible for developing and implementing new laboratory protocols and procedures, and for ensuring that our laboratories meet all applicable regulatory requirements.

We are confident that Dr. Celia’s expertise, experience, and passion for reproductive health will be a valuable asset to our team and our patients.
